Musician, producer, ideologue, futurologist, visual artist, political activist – Brian Eno is a visionary and iconic figure within global contemporary culture; an innovative presence who has been at the forefront of creative thought for the past four decades.
Yet for this extraordinary big-thinker, music is but one aspect of a creative and intellectual life that fills a boundary blurring range of endeavors. Brian Eno is a much sought after visual artist, lecturer, writer, and futurologist whose thought-provoking ideas and observations are in demand by institutions and think tanks on subjects as diverse as concepts of time, urban futures and the role and history of art.
For anyone who has ever wished they could peer into the brilliant mind of Brian Eno, this is your chance. Armed with an overhead projector, Eno will lay bare his thoughts on generative art, haircuts, music history, screwdrivers, and the vast complexities behind them all.
Details regarding Eno’s “Illustrated Talk” will be released in the coming weeks but it will be a separately ticketed event. The event offers a rare opportunity to see and hear this internationally-renowned visionary in person, in Asheville, for the first time. Moogfest VIPs and weekend pass holders will be given first opportunity to purchase tickets to the talk at reduced prices for a limited period of time. Any remaining tickets will be offered to the general public afterwards.
