Costume Contest

We hope you’ve been working on your Halloween costumes in anticipation of the Moogfest 2011 Costume Contest powered by U.S. Cellular®. We’ve made it even easier for you to enter this year.

Grab your cell phone and snap a photo of yourself in costume wearing your Moogfest wristband or standing in front of a Moogfest 2011 sign during the festival weekend. Next, send your photo to moogfest@vibes.com to enter the contest. We’ll have five different categories for entries:

• SCARIEST – We think it’s self-explanatory. Winner will receive a Limited Edition Moogfest poster.
• FUNNIEST - Also self-explanatory. Winner will receive a Limited Edition Moogfest poster.
• MOST MOOGIE – Don your most Moog-themed costume for this one. Winner will receive two weekend passes to Moogfest 2012.
• TEAMS/PAIRS- Got a group or pair of themed costumes? Winning group will receive matching Moogfest festival T-shirts.
• BEST IN SHOW – We’ll choose the best costume overall. Winner will receive a Moogfest 2012 VIP package which includes two VIP tickets and hotel stay for Moogfest 2012 and Frontier Fly Bucks provided by Frontier Airlines.

And don’t forget to check out the screens between shows at the Asheville Civic Center Arena because we’ll be posting submitted photos to the big screen for all to enjoy! Finalists will be selected after the festival via the Moogfest Facebook Page, where we’ll let fans choose the winners!

RULES: In order to participate, contestants must take their photo in costume, with their Moogfest 2011 wristband or in front of a Moogfest 2011 sign along the festival path. Contestants can enter once per day. Pictures containing nudity or obscene language/gestures will be automatically disqualified.
